Position: Workshop Supervisor
Job Information:
In this role you will be responsible for coordinating and directing the workload of the Service Department for maximum efficiency and productivity ensuring the highest level of service is provided to our customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the Service Department in its entirety
- Liaising with customers - booking in jobs and update on progress
- Scheduling resources to repair orders and daily timesheet review
- Management and control of work in progress (WIP)
- Product support to customers and technicians

SALES/PARTS TEAM MEMBER - STANLEY
Position: Sales/Parts Team Member
Location: Stanley, TAS
Job Information:
Midland Tractors is the Tasmanian Dealer for John Deere Agricultural Products, Silvan Spraying & Farming Equipment and Segway Power Sports. We service a diverse range of customers with quality, well renowned equipment and after sales support and service.
We are seeking an experienced Sales/Parts Team member to join the team at our newest branch in Stanley, Tasmania.
Day to Day activities will include:
- Promoting and selling products - residential turf, compact tractors, Silvan & Segway products
- Assist with preparing and maintaining professional showroom image and merchandise displays.
- Parts interpreting and placing Machine Down and Stock Orders
- Invoicing parts to customers - internal & external
- Inwards / Outwards Goods
- Supplier invoice processing
- General administration tasks
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in similar role would be desirable
- Excellent customer services skills
- Good literacy & numeracy skills
- Well-developed computer skills
- Team player, positive attitude, punctual and reliable
- Forklift Licence desirable

Position: Service Technicians
Location: Longford, Launceston & North East TAS
Job Information:
We currently have opportunities for motivated and driven individuals who are seeking a long term fulltime position as a Field / Workshop Service Technician based out of our Longford Branch.
Reporting to the Service Co-ordinator, this position's main job duties include the performance of basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and dealer owned equipment.
Role Requirements:
- Qualifications in Large Ag or Heavy Vehicle mechanics
- Previous heavy vehicle experience essential, Ag experience preferred but not essential, GPS and Precision Farming knowledge is beneficial
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
- Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
- Self motivated, highly organised with attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Pride in your teamwork, communication and customer service skills
- Current drivers licence
- Forklift Licence (HRL – LF)

Reporting to the Service Co-ordinator, this position’s main job duties include the performance of basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment.
Role Requirements:
- Qualifications in Large Ag, Diesel or Heavy Machinery
- Proven experience performing service repairs
- Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
- Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
- Proficient oral and written skills
- Current drivers licence
- Forklift Licence (HRL – LF)
